Spoken English workshop for our students

Professor Meenakshi Rajan from S.K. Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai conducted a Spoken English workshop for our students in Karnataka from 20th to 25th April.

20 students attended the workshop where they were given the opportunity to improve and practice their English, speaking and conversing in front of the entire group. The students expressed that the workshop helped them to build their confidence and improve their spoken English. And they’re now keen to develop their English language skills by reading and speaking with one another in English.

We would like to convey our gratitude to Dr. Meenakshi for spending her time to help our students and giving them an opportunity to learn what they would otherwise not have. Our Chairperson Mrs. Amrita Somaiya approached Dr Meenakshi two years ago asking her to conduct an English workshop for our students. Dr. Meenakshi gladly took up the initiative of designing and conducting the workshop and this is the 3rd consecutive year that she has conducted the workshop. Dr Meenakshi told us that she is very thankful to Mrs. Amrita Somaiya for suggesting the idea, as she feels immensely grateful for helping out the students in this way. This year she has decided to conduct 2 workshops to reach out to more students and help them. The next one is scheduled to be in November.
